Camping • Cave and River Sites
We offer RUSTIC camp sites - there are power points but these only work when we have power available due to our use of a hydro electric system.
So please enquire before you come as to whether there will be power or not, and be prepared to bring your own lighting system and fridges that run on vehicle batteries or solar panels. I am very happy to keep frozen foods in my deep freeze.
We offer 6 camp sites. There is the cave camp site under a huge overhang.
Next to it is a site we now call ' Walnut' because of the large walnut tree that offers shade and on the other side of the cave we have ' Vulture' which looks up to 'vultures Crag' where one can see up to 100 vultures roosting in the cliffs.
The other 3 sites are at the river alongside a beautiful river swimming pool . 2 of the sites have shade and the third does not. These 3 sites enjoy a very spacious lawned area.
We have recently added another camp site at our farm Glen Lyon close to Lundeans Nek. This is called 'Lyons Pride' and you can read more about it on www.frostypeaks.co.za
6 people per site and a maximum of 24 people booked per night.
We provide 2 shower rooms (4 toilets) and a washing up facility - hot water runs on gas geysers, and braai facilities. There is a fresh water tap at each camp area. Due to the long stretch of gravel road to get to the farm it is not suitable to bring caravans, Only tents and roof top tents or off road campers/caravans.
NO PETS we are a sheep farm and cannot have strange dogs on the farm.
